Here are four recent examples of free material for preservice and inservice K-12 teachers  that I have developed and/or helped develop.

This short book discusses the validity and credibility of information available to students and others. It uses math as the best example of valid information among the STEM areas, and argues that the information available in the STEM disciplines  tends to be more valid than that in other disciplines.

One of the chapters is specifically on what we know about brain science and mathematics. Other chapters cover a wide range of topics for parents, preservice teachers, and inservice teachers at all levels and in all disciplines. The book includes brief discussions of and links to about 50 brain science videos available free on the Web.

Each discipline of study is defined by the types of problems and tasks that it studies. Computer technology is an aid to this task in each discipline. This short book targets preservice and inservice K-12 teachers, and certainly is of special interest to teachers in the STEM areas.

About half of this document focuses on women in the STEM areas, while the remainder focuses on women in the specific STEM area Information and Communication  Technology. There is considerable emphasis on the under representation of women in these areas. The document includes links to a large number of organizations who are addressing this under representation situation.
