ONE-YEAR TEMPORARY FULL-TIME

MATH (MTH)

Sylvania Campus

for the 2017-2018 academic year





The Math & Industrial Technology Division at the Sylvania campus has a
temporary one-year full-time Math position for the 2017-2018 academic
year.  The qualifications for the position are:



*Minimum Qualifications:*

·                Master’s degree (MS, MA) in Mathematics, Applied
Mathematics, or Statistics; OR

·                Master’s degree in Mathematics Education or Master’s
degree in Teaching (e.g., MST, MAT) with an emphasis in mathematics;
AND Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics;
AND 18 quarter hours (12 semester hours) in graduate level mathematics, OR

·                Master’s degree in a field related to mathematics;
AND 27 quarter hours (18 semester hours) in graduate-level mathematics

*Preferred Qualifications:*

In addition to the required education/experience credentials, the ideal
candidate will also demonstrate the following:

-experience teaching MTH 251 (Calculus I), MTH 252 (Calculus II), MTH 253
(Calculus III) & MTH 254 (Vector Calculus I).



In accordance with Article 3.64 of the faculty contract, current part-time
employees in the subject area, as well as full-time faculty
with temporary appointments in the subject area, and other employees are
