Thank you everyone for the fabulous suggestions!

This district I am working with is one of the 20% in Oregon NOT using GAFE, so these three may work for them:

http://www.volunteerspot.com/
http://www.signupgenius.com/
https://doodle.com/
(By the way, I didn't realize that Doodle could block out a time that was selected by a participant)

Have a great afternoon!

Virginia

PS Thanks for all the GAFE info too, since 10 of our 13 districts are GAFE users.

They announced it was being discontinued, and then backpedaled pretty fast and announced they were keeping it around for Google Apps users :)

"**Update January 17, 2013*: We'll continue to support appointment slots in Calendar for all Google Apps for Business, Education and Government customers."

You need to be using a Google Apps account to create Appointment Slots, but anyone with a Google Calendar account of any kind can sign up for one of your slots.

You might want to cross post in edu-sig at python.org and octoprint at googlegroups.com

There's a lot of linux-friendly teachers in those groups.
