[MACEP] eeePC help

[I Erbs]

Hello,
I just bought a really cool little eeePC. It has Xandros linux on it. I
would like to get the desktop and bypass the safety measures that prevent me
from getting there. I'm trying language immersion by using the thing as much
as possible, but my ability to really get at the LINUX stuff is hampered.
Any help from say Paul or Eric would be great.
