[MACEP] Flash Files and Quicktime

One of the teachers working in Dreamweaver MX on a  Mac Tiger machine  
sent me the following questions. ? Apparently the newest version of  
Quicktime doesn't support .swf files, which is the interface that  
PowerPoint and Keynote use.  Can anyone shed some light on the issue  
he is having

His questions:

How does Adobe or Microsoft suggest solving this problem?  (or Apple  
for that matter)
Would upgrading to Flash CS3 do it?
Can we upgrade from Studio MX (we have a site license) at a reasonable  
cost?
