[MACEP] ACLs on Tiger Servers

I think that Access Controls will help with my problem, but not really sure how or what to apply.

Here is the scenario:

I have student folders owned by the student with group as staff. Both have read/write permission.

When a teacher makes a change to a document inside the student folder, the student can open it but not save. Since word created new documents instead of modifying the old one, the "new" document is now owned by the staff member.

How can I make it so that everything in that student's folder is always owned by him/her? This would also apply to new folders the teacher may create inside the student folder.
