Drupal does all kinds of things and is easy to use and configure.
Some examples:

You can configure roles with different levels of access and there are
several different ways to authenticate users. Drupal is also RSS
friendly which makes it easy to push/pull content from other parts of
your web and from other information sources.
Drupal has a well-supported and active devoplent community and is
educator friendly. You can run it on any OS.

We're looking for the best Content Management System for our school
district web site that would run on a Windows server. We're open to an
open source or a commercial solution. We've found a couple of commercial
products that are geared to school districts buy so far no open source
solution geared to school districts.
Your recommendations would be very much appreciated.
