With CES (Consumer Electronics Show) and MacWorld happening next week,
I am sure there will be a large number of new product announcements.
Also, the state legislatures for both Oregon and Washington start next
week that could result with budgets that would be favorable to schools
next school year and beyond.

For those of you that do technology planning, this might be a good time
to take a moment and view again one of the more popular technology
"vision" resources, "The Knowledge Navigator". This was produced by
Apple and released in 1987. Even though it is now 20 years old, it can
still inspire dreams and goals. You can find a copy of it at:
http://www.digibarn.com/collections/movies/knowledge-navigator.html

Also, for those that might remember the eMate offered by Apple, it will
be celebrating its tenth year soon. It was introduced March 7, 1997,
for $800 and was discontinued along with the Apple Newton product line
and its operating system on February 27, 1998.
