[MACEP] equipment to donate

Happening all over..........our Intro to IT and Networking classes will
not be offered next year.
This will be the second year in a row that Networking will not
run..........making it pretty hard for out IT kids to fill their needed
classes for a Focused Program in IT in their 4 years here.
My hardware has survived but is down to just one class from two this
year.......could be gone next year.

More testing is eating up more and more of our labs availability for
classes and student use..........

The pendulum seems to have swung away from tech based classes to testing
based classes...........

I must say, this really saddens me. What will it take to swing the
pendulum over to getting educational technology - that is integration of
technology into instruction and learning - so that our children are
competitive in the world they step into after high school?

Hello all,
In the past I have been a seeker of computer equipment, I am now
offering up what I have. Due to NCLB my school has to run many remedial
classes to help kids pass our state testing. The result is too few kids
to take the many elective offerings here at my HS. My computer repair
and networking classes are a casualty of this reality.

As such I have a lot of system components to offer to a good home.

Please notify me off list if you want to come by to see what I have.

On the other hand if you know of a technology job in your didstrict
please let me know. I have a full time job here teaching intro to
computer classes, but I would be open to a hardware teaching or
technology integration specialist position in the metro
Portland/vancouver area.
