[MACEP] need help with a survey, please!

This year, several teachers at my school received a cart with computer,
LCD projector, and speakers for use in their classroom. They also received
training on how to create media-rich lessons with streaming video, audio,
images, etc. Now it's time to evaluate the program.

It's hard to think of a scientific way to determine the program's effect
on the students' progress, since they've never taken the class before, so
there's no control group. You can't really compare the progress of
students in these classes against students in other classes, because we
all know that there are so many other variables there. I have asked the
teachers to teach two similar sections of a class using the setup for one
but not for the other, and compare the end result with a standard test.
But that's not really a good idea, either, plus, they haven't done it.

And so I feel left with the student survey idea. (I have already surveyed
the teachers and gotten their subjective and anecdotal input on the
program's effectiveness.) For some reason, I am coming up blank when I try
to think of questions to ask. Can y'all help me out? I don't have a lot of
experience with evaluating programs -- mainly with planning and
implementing them. THANKS!!!
