Given that this is a questions related to teacher licensure, TSPC
(Teachers Standards and Practices Commission). I will be happy to pass
this along!

	Hi,

Has anyone ran into this issue? Some of our teachers are
required to take ETS testing at:

	www.ets.org/praxis

However, there are firewall issues and I cannot find any
technical info. One teacher tried at the school and had problems with
our firewall and then tried at home and had trouble with her personal
firewall.

The only technical info I could find is a cached google page
with this:

	I.	If your Internet access is through a firewall or proxy
server, then check with your technical staff to ensure that you are
allowed to access ETS ParaPro Assessment Web site
(https://ibt.ets.org/parapro/) using http and https network protocols
(TCP port 80 & 433) and have permissions to download files with
extension type JAR & JNLP. You can check the Internet options for your
browser to help determine if you are communicating through a proxy
server. If you are not sure, consult your local technical staff.

If your Internet access includes a proxy server and you
have communication problems (excessive retry messages and many restarts
during the test) then your technical staff may want to check for any
"filtering" that is applied that may slow down or even reject
communications between ETS and your PC.

ParaPro relies on Sun's Java Web Start to start the
ParaPro application and inherits any security settings from it. Java Web
Start does not support proprietary Windows authentication methods such
as NTLM. If you find that ParaPro cannot start because you are required
to authenticate yourself to the network and it does not work, please
contact your local network support staff. We recommend that proxy
servers use Basic authentication, which is well supported by Java Web
Start.

Any extra information anyone can share???

	Thanks,

	greg
