I second this. It is being used at several of my schools with much
success. One of them has computer-art class based entirely around it. I
think it's actually an after school program and not a regular class per
se, but in any case, it's getting used a lot.

Incidentally, I also use the Linux version of it to do my photo-editing
myself. It's quite powerful.
