[MACEP] Internet Search "Horror" Stories

This wasn't in front of a class, but my son did a search for "women in religion" at school in 1997 or so (pre google) and got 1 link to Mother Theresa and the rest of the links were of the Debbie does Dallas sort. He was horrified ( he was a very shy 9th grader at the time) and terrified that he would get in trouble. I worked in the computer lab and he yelled for me to come and get rid of the stuff on the screen.

Subject: [MACEP] Internet Search "Horror" Stories

Greetings to all!

Does anyone have a good, or rather great, horror story about doing a search
on the Internet and coming up with a wild response, especially in front of a
class? Something innocent like searching for the "White House" and coming up
with whitehouse.com vs. whitehouse.gov?

I'm doing a presentation on Internet searching and am looking for some
examples that would result in inappropriate search results.

Thanks.

Deb.
