NeoOffice is a fully-featured set of office applications (including  
word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and drawing programs) for  
Mac OS X. Based on the OpenOffice.org office suite, NeoOffice has  
integrated dozens of native Mac features and can import, edit, and  
exchange files with other popular office programs such as Microsoft  
Office.

Released as free, open-source software under the GNU General Public  
License (GPL), NeoOffice is fully functional and stable enough for  
everyday use. The software is actively developed, so improvements and  
small updates are made available on a regular basis.

Minimum Machine Requirements for NeoOffice 1.2.1
Due to limited time and funds, NeoOffice will not work on Apple's new  
Intel machines. We are working on a version for the Intel machines  
and we hope to release an Alpha version in the summer of 2006.
To install and run NeoOffice 1.2.1, you must have the following:
Mac OS X 10.3 or higher
384 MB of memory
400 MB of free disk space
Installing NeoOffice 1.2.1
To install, double-click on the downloaded file in the Finder. This  
should cause the Disk Copy application to open. The Disk Copy  
application should automatically open the downloaded file and display  
a volume called NeoOffice on your desktop. Double-click on the  
NeoOffice volume. This should open a Finder window that contains a  
NeoOffice.pkg file. Double-click on the NeoOffice.pkg file and the  
NeoOffice installer should start.
By default, the installer will create an application called NeoOffice  
in your /Applications folder. To launch NeoOffice, just double-click  
on the NeoOffice application icon in the Finder.
After installing, get the latest bug fixes by downloading and  
installing the latest NeoOffice patch installer.

Volunteers are continually testing NeoOffice and, as they find bugs,  
we fix them as fast as we can. Since a full NeoOffice release is a  
very large download, we post smaller "patch" installers that only  
install the NeoOffice files that we have fixed since the last release.

The patch includes all of the bug fixes in previous NeoOffice 1.2 and  
1.2.1 patches.

Installation of the patch is the same as the NeoOffice 1.2.1  
installation instructions. Also, the patch installer will check if  
you have already installed NeoOffice 1.2 or 1.2.1.
