I have never seen a problem with plugging in a device to an ABS corrupting
the ABS configuration. That doesn't mean it isn't possible though.

I think for piece of mind someone should go into the Airport Admin app and
save the configuration of that ABS to a file. Then if corruption ever occurs
you can restore the configuration by blowing the saved config file back into
the ABS.
