[MACEP] basic web design for OS X

Hi, folks,

Once again I'm looking for a simple web design program for OS X.

I'm seeking the type of features the old Claris HomePage used to have:
intuitive process; simple, clean WYSIWYG interface; easy access to
html; and simplified editing, especially of tables.

I don't want to be required to work online, and I want to be able to
upload html files to whichever location I wish.

I'm not looking for flash. I just want to be able to create and post my
lesson plans and occasionally throw in an animated gif or such. I need
to be able to work fast. I create my plans daily (add to and revise a
weekly file each day). I post an update at least every 24 hours, and I
often make changes on the fly between classes, which I then post to my
server and display on my TV during class. It saves the old
soccer-injured shoulders from writing on the board, provides for
readable text (compared to my handwriting), and is quicker than
producing the info. twice or in two formats. As you can tell, I don't
have time to waste; efficiency is a necessity for me.

At least at my stage of experience, Mozilla is clunky as all get-out,
even if the price is right. The school district (Tigard-Tualatin) will
purchase a low end program for me, so I can afford an inexpensive
program.

I am just this week blessed with an upgrade to an OS X laptop to use as
my workstation (since the OS 8.6 machine I was using will no longer
access our GradeQuick network). I am so grateful for the new machine,
at the same time that I'm having to lug the old one also, while I'm
still using Claris HomePage. One of the kids will have fun bringing me
up to speed on the new program once I'm ready to switch over.

Any insights would be appreciated. I think it's been a couple / three
years since I asked a similar question, so y'all may have some new
suggestions.

Thanks, folks!
