[MACEP] Print tracking software

Hello Everyone,

I'm looking for information and opinions about products that can help
control the amount of waste generated by careless printing in labs and
libraries in our district. With a sudden budget crisis facing us here, we
are exploring all options to minimize waste of resources.

I know there are products out there that can set up individual user
accounts and then track printing and cut off when limits are met, but it's
been a long time since I've researched it so can't remember anything
specific. It may be that the solution ends up to be more costly than the
problem itself, but feel the need to explore our options just the same.

Anyone have experience with, or opinions about any of this stuff? Any leads
on vendors that might be able to help?
