[MACEP] Epson Printer and OSX

We have an Epson Stylus Color 850n printer that isn't compatible with
OSX.  I've read about work arounds to get them to print using GIMP.  I'm
not familiar with this program but did look through the website.  Anyone
out there have experience with it and can offer some tips on setting it
up on iMacs running OSX 10.3.9?
