[MACEP] Apple Remote Desktop Client

I am just getting into ARD ver. 2 for OS X (have used it with classic 
OS).  I have installed the admin part and ran an update this morning so I 
am running version 2.2.

My question is about the client:  is the ARD client built in to OS X?  But 
with ver. 2.2 do you have to install or update the client already on the 
computer?  If so, where do I go to get the client?
