One 20,000 foot view is that Adobe and Macromedia are uniting in defense
against the behemoth up North.

That's a view with which I agree.

If they can successfully integrate their development teams as well as their
marketing teams, they should be unbeatable.

FrontPage and Publisher still s*ck, you know!? :-)
