[MACEP] A Mac Excel funny

No matter how hard they try, computers are still very literal and 
have no "common sense."

This tickled my funny bone but I am very glad I discovered it before 
I emptied the trash!

Last week, I did some clean up and back up on my computer. Among the 
many things I did, I purged a number of files and deleted a few, now 
empty, folders.

Since then, I created new files in a number of programs, including 
Excel. Today,  I went to open an old Excel file and noticed that the 
default folder was one I trashed last week. Even more interesting was 
that the only files it listed were the ones I've created yesterday. 
Upon investigation, I discovered that the program was continuing to 
save documents in the folder that I specified---even though the 
folder was now in the trash!

You can bet I'm checking all my program file location preferences!
