I received the forward below from a fellow teacher. I found the quote she
sent at http://www.trecenter.org/udl/nyscate/_5__Daggett_paper.pdf. The
paper itself is full of interesting tidbits on science and technology
besides the one on tooth phones. It is posted at www.trecenter.org,
sponsored by VESID
(http://www.vesid.nysed.gov/). FYI....

Subject: Nanotech tooth phone
Nanotech tooth phone
Nanotech refers to extremely small devices built at a molecular level. Engineers in Great Britain have developed a "tooth phone" with a tiny vibrator and radio wave receiver that can be implanted in a tooth through "routine" dental surgery. The phone receives a digital radio signal that it transfers to the inner ear by bone resonance. Information can be received at any time, anywhere, and no one else can tell it is being transmitted. Think about the implications.
